Jenny Preston
Jenny was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1963. Her childhood years were spent in the Matetsi Safari area, south of the Victoria Falls, a constant source of inspiration, and the opportunity to observe wildlife in its environment.
Jenny studied art in Bulawayo from 1981 to 1983, graduating with a diploma in Applied Art & Design, and became a freelance commercial artist in 1985, specialising in wildlife and bird illustration. Her full-time painting career began in 1992.
Jenny has exhibited at Safari Club International in the USA, for Rhino Rescue in the UK, for elephant relocation in Holland and at CITES in Zimbabwe. She supports Wildlife & Environment in Zimbabwe and exhibits in the United Kingdon, USA, Australia and South Africa.
Much of her time is spent in the bush, observing, sketching and photographing her subjects, and exploring her home country. Her African travels have also taken her through Malawi, Zambia, Botswana and Tanzania's Ngorogoro Crater and Serengeti National Parks.
Jenny is married with three daughters.
